Height Family Update
The Heights are stepping into a new chapter of our family’s story in 2024!
This summer our family will conclude our time in Nashville and our ministry roles at Trevecca Community Church and Trevecca Nazarene University as we re-enter ministry with Nazarene Global Missions.
We will be moving to Croatia in Central Europe and serving as missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene.
Reetu will be serving as the Finance Coordinator and I will serve with the local church in the capital city of Zagreb. Through these roles, our family will have the opportunity to join the work of our Christian brothers and sisters in refugee ministries, compassionate ministries, and local church planting.
This transition is bittersweet as we are extremely excited to join the Nazarene Church in Croatia and yet we are also sad to say “see you later” to our friends and family here in the USA.
After our time living and serving in West Africa, Reetu and I weren’t sure if our family would ever live outside the USA again. But God has moved in big and surprising ways in the last year and we are hope-filled and joyful for what lies ahead.
We will conclude our time in Nashville in May and then spend a few months speaking at churches and fundraising for our ministry roles prior to moving to Croatia.
And we’d love to share with you and your church about how God is at work both in Croatia and in our family! We are currently scheduling churches to speak at between May and July 2024, and we’d love to visit you.
We also deeply appreciate your prayers for our family, especially our children, during this time of change and transition.
In the words of 1 Corinthians 15:58, we are prayerfully endeavoring to continue to give ourselves “fully to the work of the Lord.” And this isn’t something we (or you!) do alone.
We need each other. And we are thankful for all of you who have journeyed, are journeying, and will continue to journey with our family as we all seek to give ourselves to Christ and the mission of God.
