Living the compassion of Jesus

Why Are You Guys Moving?

Missions has always been central to the DNA of our relationship as a couple, and for the last several years we have been blessed to serve in various roles in our local church and in compassionate ministry in Indianapolis, Indiana, while also being actively engaged in international missions.

Jeremy has served on staff at Shepherd Community Center (a compassionate ministry center) as well as an associate Nazarene pastor; and Reetu has served as the missions’ coordinator at our local church.

Since Reetu’s conversion to Christianity as a teenager, she has felt called “to the nations” and cross-cultural ministry. And Jeremy has pursued his passion and call of pastoral ministry and community development. As we serve in West Africa, we will be able to be obedient to the multi-faceted call which God has placed on our hearts as a family.

Additionally, we are excited to to take this step of faith as a growing family (our first child, Zane Veer, was born on April 15th of this year!) and prayerfully anticipate how we are able to serve God together with the great church leaders throughout West Africa.

God has granted us the opportunity to serve in community outreach and missions throughout our marriage and now God is calling our family into a new chapter of ministry.

In December 2017, we will be joining the work of the Church of the Nazarene in West Africa. Living in Dakar, Senegal, we will serve on a team coordinating church work throughout 13 countries in West Africa. Reetu will serve as the Field Finance Coordinator (facilitating the finances of church work throughout the field) and Jeremy will serve as the Field Partnership Coordinator (working in the areas of communications, hosting mission trips, and assisting new urban ministry initiatives).

Our ministry? To support the work of local pastors, church planters, community developers, and national missionaries throughout West Africa to continue spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to every community in that area of the world.

And we invite you to join us in our journey as we join the great work of God already happening throughout West Africa!
